Michael has been apart of our CrossPoint faith community since 2006. His weekly responsibilities entail of making sure the day to day pastoral care is done for the community of Sterling. He has a Bachlors of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Christian Education. He grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Kansas at the time of attending Sterling college. Michael is married to Amber and has three beautiful children, Carson, Lily, and Allie.

Michael loves working with and helping people. He enjoys all kinds of sports. He loves to spend time hanging out with his friends and family. The one thing Michael loves about our church is his small group. They have truly become his family in our faith community.

Matt has been the worship leader of CrossPoint Sterling church since 2008. He is responsible for the weekly Sunday morning worship ministry, as well as discipleship and leading a youth band for the CrossPoint youth ministry at Sterling. He is currently studying Language and Literature at Sterling College, and is hoping to graduate in the spring of 2011. Matt loves good music, literature, backpacking, marathon running, and exploring the infinite abyss. He is a passionate follower of Jesus Christ who is currently seeking God’s will for his future.

Julie Jaderston has been the youth pastor at CrossPoint Sterling since 2007. She, along with her husband Dean, leads a volunteer staff of over 20 college students who minster to the youth as part of the CrossFire youth ministry in Sterling and the surrounding area. She graduated from Trinity International University with a degree in Communication and Organizational Leadership. She’s been working with youth for over 20 years and served at churches in Illinois and Minnesota before coming to Kansas. She and her husband are also the Executive Directors of Northern Pines, a premier Christ-centered family conference that operates each summer in Wisconsin, where they also served as senior high directors for 18 years. She also has raised 3 boys, (ages 16, 19, and 22) who all serve with her in the Crossfire ministry.

Julie loves sports (especially tennis and basketball), movies, reading historical fiction, and Matt Chandler podcasts. She is very passionate about worship, especially since all 3 of her sons are musicians. She has a new puppy, Leia, and an old, faithful Lab named Murphy who keeps life interesting. She keeps very busy with her high school and college girls’ Bible studies, keeping up with all her boys’ schedules, and trying to housetrain Leia.

Melissa Bauerle

Children’s Pastor

Melissa has been a part of CrossPoint since 2007, taking over as Children’s Pastor at CrossPoint Sterling in 2011. She is very excited about this position because she is able to see how God is working in the lives of our youth and gets to see them commit their lives to Jesus! Prior to taking a leadership position, she volunteered in the preschool classroom and the greeting team. Kids are her passion and she loves seeing how their minds work. She graduated from Wichita State University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Unified. She taught preschool before staying home with her beautiful daughter Maya. She is married to Tyson, who is a teacher in Sterling.

Melissa loves spending time with her family, scrapbooking, being outdoors, and playing board games. Since being married she has come to enjoy watching college football and basketball, and has always loved Major League Baseball. One of her favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
