Student ministry at CrossPoint is called Crossfire and it's just like it sounds... intense. Junior high and high school students will find themselves challenged to grow spiritually and relationally in a safe and positive environment. Large group gatherings, small group meetings and numerous special events give every student the opportunity to learn and grow as well as serve and reach. Each campus has its own student leadership, and meets the needs of the individual schools and students where they exist. The plan for every student in the CrossPoint program is to learn to love God, grow up and serve all.
"Here at CrossPoint we have some very Biblical views on the role of Student ministry. We believe that God is the giver of adulthood, and that He calls parents to be the primary spiritual mentors of their children. At the age of 13 students in our youth program are encouraged to embrace their Spiritual Adulthood through Church membership, service, and Spiritual Growth. We instill in them that God desires an intimate relationship with them and it is their responsibility to pursue Him as He has pursued them. Our Core Values consist of Parental support, Intergenerational service & missions, Discipleship, and evangelism."
- Student Pastor Josh Holmes
There are two main programs for students at CrossPoint...
#1 Wednesday outreach night is called Crossfire Youth Night. It is designed to be a nonthreatening atmosphere where students can mingle, play games, and bring friends. Our Purpose is to connect the those who are disconnected from God and the church. We present the Gospel regularly at Crossfire and promote small groups.
#2 Sunday Night Small Groups. Small groups are designed to be challenging and encouraging to a student’s personal walk with our Savior. Every week students are Challenged to step outside their comfort zone with a creative and versatile worship time. In small groups they are encouraged in their Faith and directed by their leaders to go deeper. Small group is also our doorway to youth activity in the CrossPoint Faith Community. All trips, service projects and extra activities are promoted primarily through small groups as well as the Crossfire Facebook group.
